Lingt Language is a tool that allows teachers to create web-based assignments that make engaging and assessing spoken performance as natural as giving out a worksheet. Teachers can upload text, mp3 files, voice narration, videos or pictures into an assignment. The teacher can embed voice commenting or text commenting throughout the assignment that the students can record their voices in or type into.
Ways that Lingt Language can be used in the World Language Classroom:
  • Students can view pictures that relate the culture and comment on them
  • Students can listen to songs in the target language and say what they think the song is about
  • Teachers can record a question and have the students respond to it via voice prompt
  • Students can watch a video that reviews a concept and record themselves using the grammar concept
  • Teachers can have students read a passage
